Richard Holt Obituary

Richard E. Holt, 74, of Shelbyville, IL passed away on Sunday, October 23, 2022, in Shelbyville Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Shelbyville, IL.

Richard was born on August 16, 1948, in Urbana, IL, the son of Charles E. and Betty L. (Hershbanger) Holt. He attended school in Wheeling, IL and graduated from Wheeling High School in 1969. Richard and Jackie Georgene Baker were married, in Mount Prospect, IL, on August 23, 1969 and were blessed with 46 years of marriage before her passing on March 12, 2016. Richard worked for Ozark Airlines-Trans World Airlines (TWA) and American Airlines, retiring in 2004.

He is survived by his son, Rick Holt and wife Julie; daughter, Mary Holt and granddaughter, Shelby Holt, all of Texas.

He was preceded in death by his parents and wife.

In keeping with Richard’s wishes, he will be laid to rest in Moore Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Arlington, TX alongside his wife, Jackie. Lockart-Green Funeral Home in Shelbyville, IL is assisting the family.
