Ramona E. Price

Ramona E. Price, 91, of Austin, TX, formerly of Effingham, IL and Salem, IL, passed away on Saturday, September 5, 2020 at Brodie Ranch Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Austin, TX. 

Ramona was born on October 31, 1928, in Lakewood, IL, the daughter of Launy R. and Hazel M. (Duckett) Montooth.  She was a graduate of Sparks Business College in Shelbyville, IL.  Ramona and Lee Price were united in holy matrimony on November 16, 1967 and celebrated 45 years of marriage before his passing.  Together they resided in Salem, IL and were the owners of Price’s Livestock.  They later moved to Effingham where Ramona was a long-time member of Watson United Methodist Church.  She enjoyed watching game shows on television and spending time with her loved ones. 

Surviving are her daughter, Deborah (Lawrence) Burt of Austin, TX; son, Eugene Barricklow of Florida; grandchildren:  Cassandra (Travis) Powell and Adam (Jennifer) Burt, all of Austin, TX; eight great-grandchildren; two nephews:  Lynn (Kay) Kearney of Moweaqua, IL and Jim (Paula) Kearney of Lerna and many great and great-great nieces and nephews.  

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and sister, Marjorie Marie Kearney.  

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, September 14, 2020 in Glenwood Cemetery in Shelbyville, IL with Reverend Jim Whitaker officiating.  Lockart-Green Funeral Home in Shelbyville, IL is assisting the family.
