Linda Lou (Christman) McCain

Linda Lou McCain, 72, of Shelbyville, IL passed away at 5:03 p.m. on Wednesday, April 21, 2021 in HSHS St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, IL. 

Linda was born on July 12, 1948, in Decatur, the daughter of Noel and Irma (Hatcher) Christman.  She married Robert Albert McCain on May 6, 1972, in Decatur, and they were blessed with 41 years of marriage before his passing on March 14, 2014.  Linda worked as a CNA and was a member of the First Christian Church in Shelbyville. 

Surviving are her mother, Irma Christman of Shelbyville; sisters:  Phyllis Gay of Milwaukee, WI and Janet Mitchell of Shelbyville; brother, Mike Christman of Shelbyville and several nieces and nephews. 

Linda was preceded in death by her father and husband. 

Private family services will be held in Mt. Carmel Cemetery near Shelbyville.  Memorials may be made to the family.  Lockart-Green Funeral Home in Shelbyville is assisting the family.
