Kenny was born on October 16, 1959, in Pana, the son of Floyd and Doris (Manuel) Hinton. Kenny worked as a pipefitter, welder and general foreman, for nearly 40 years, at Austin Industries at ADM in Decatur. He was always happy to share his wealth of knowledge with those he worked with, friends and family. Kenny enjoyed time in the kitchen whether it be cooking, grilling, smoking food or improving his culinary skills by watching the Food Network. He also enjoyed gardening, mushroom hunting, tinkering in his garage and was an avid NASCAR fan. But above all, he treasured time with his loved ones. Kenny was a beloved son, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend to many and will be deeply missed by all those who knew him.
Surviving are his loving mother, Doris Hinton of Tower Hill; children: Zack Hinton of Shelbyville, Shona (Matthew) Patton of Mattoon, Otis Hinton of Shelbyville and Casey Jones of Tulsa, OK; nine grandchildren: Mahayla, Kobe, Nivea, Kade, Clayton, Kyran, Michael, Avery and Briar; siblings: Rhonda (Charlie) Evans of Cowden, Keith Hinton of Pana, Kellie Kuhn of Oconee, Amy (David) Coultas of Tower Hill and Patsy (Chuck) Chesterman of Tower Hill and numerous nieces and nephews.
