Kenneth Wayne Cox, 58, of Cowden, IL passed away, at home, on Monday, November 14, 2022.

Ken was born on October 27, 1964, in Decatur, the son of Albert and Diana (Braughton) Cox. He was a 1983 graduate of Argenta-Oreana High School. He worked for York Bin Company in Strasburg and farmed in the Cowden area for over 20 years. Ken enjoyed auctions, horseback riding, woodworking and metal work.

He leaves behind three children: Danielle (Tyler) Quick of Shelbyville, Dylan Patch of Shelbyville and Naomyi Cox of Decatur; four grandchildren: Cambree, Ryker, Austin and AvarLeigh; three sisters: Vicki Kennedy of Cowden, Michelle (John) Ronek of Decatur and Renee (Dave) Rogers of Mt. Zion; best friends: Troy “Freak” Allen and Jake Bennett and many nieces and nephews.

Ken was preceded in death by his grandparents; parents; stepfather, Richard Stephens; son, Brandon Keppler and granddaughter, Keeley Quick.

In keeping with Ken’s wishes, a celebration of life will be held at a later date. Lockart-Green Funeral Home in Cowden is assisting the family.
