Joshua David Gordon

Joshua David Gordon, 40, of Shelbyville, IL passed away on Friday, June 25, 2021 at home.  

Joshua was born on October 2, 1980, in Decatur, the son of Morris and Judy (Winings) Gordon.  He was a 1998 graduate of Shelbyville High School.  Joshua was a talented mechanic who owned and operated Gordon’s Auto Repair in Shelbyville.  He and Crystal Brewer were married and from that union they were blessed with three children:  Brittany, Corey and Emma.  He enjoyed mechanic work, fishing, drag racing, helping others and hanging with his beloved dog, Noodles “aka Stupid”. 

Surviving are his mother, Judy Gordon of Shelbyville; children:  Brittany Gordon of Shelbyville, Corey Gordon of Shelbyville and Emma Gordon of Shirley, AR; brothers:  James (Melissa Sanborn) Gordon of Clarksburg and Jason Gordon of Shelbyville; one nephew and many aunts, uncles, nieces and cousins. 

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, father and brother, Eric Gordon.  

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 30, 2021 at Lockart-Green Funeral Home in Shelbyville.  Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.  Burial will take place in Glenwood Cemetery.  Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.  Lockart-Green Funeral Home is assisting the family.
