Joanne (Florey) Walls

Joanne Walls, 77, of Beecher City, IL passed away at 5:08 a.m. on Monday, August 23, 2021 in Effingham Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Effingham, IL with loved ones by her side. 

Joanne was born on August 25, 1943, in Cass City, MI, the daughter of John and Cora (Lawrence) Florey.  Joanne and Terry Lee Walls were united in holy matrimony on May 30, 1964, in Holland Church near Beecher City, and were blessed with 43 years of marriage before his passing on October 23, 2007.  She enjoyed reading, riding her bike and spending time with loved ones. 

Surviving are sons:  John Walls of Beecher City and Greg Walls of Mason; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; sisters:  Connie Stewart of Beecher City and Judy Auhlman of Mason; brother, Jerry (Margie) Florey of Cowden; sisters-in-law:  Lucille Florey and Barbara Florey, both of Beecher City. 

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband; two sisters:  Betty Ricketts and Peggy Florey and two brothers:  Bob Florey and Ronnie Florey. 

A memorial service to celebrate a life well lived will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 29, 2021 in the Kluthe Center in Beecher City with Pastor Sid Hutchison officiating.  Memorials may be made in Joanne’s name to the Effingham Rehabilitation and Health Care Center.  Lockart-Green Funeral Home in Beecher City is assisting the family.
