Born on May 5, 1927, in Thebes, Illinois, the cherished daughter of John and Hilda (McCoy) Bolen. She embarked on a beautiful journey of love and companionship with Everett E. Drummond, whom she married on April 20, 1946. Their love story spanned over seven decades until Everett's passing on July 2, 2015. Geraldine was a source of comfort and strength for her family, weathering the storms of life with grace and resilience.
Geraldine is survived by three children, Jerry (Sue) Drummond of Toledo, Peggy (Mike) Giertz of Gays, and David (Michelle) Drummond of Springville, Tennessee. She was a beacon of love and wisdom for her ten grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved Everett, her daughter Carolyn, her grandson Jordan, two sisters, and one brother.
Geraldine worked at Gammill’s Grocery Store, Gays post office and together Geraldine and Everett owned and operated EE Drummond Trucking. Geraldine could often be found driving the truck with Everett. However, her most cherished role was that of a homemaker. She took great pride in creating a warm, welcoming home for her family and friends, always ready with a comforting word or a home-cooked meal. A devoted Christian, Geraldine was a longtime member of Ash Grove Christian Church. Her faith was a constant source of strength and guidance throughout her life. She was a woman of deep conviction, living her beliefs through her actions and her commitment to her community. Geraldine and Everett enjoyed camping with their dear friends, Hugh and Betty Wright. Time with her family was Geraldine's greatest joy, her love and dedication shining brightly in every shared meal, every holiday celebration, and every quiet moment spent in each other's company.
