Crystal Marie (Downs) McWilliams

Crystal Marie McWilliams, 70, of Findlay, IL passed away at 9:43 p.m. on Sunday, February 27, 2022, in HSHS St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital in Effingham, IL with loved ones by her side. 

Crystal was born on May 29, 1951, in Oak Lawn, the daughter of Wendell and Dolly (Misplay) Downs.  She was a 1969 graduate of Herscher High School.  Crystal and Michael "Mac" K. McWilliams were married on August 21, 1971 and were blessed with 50 years of marriage.  She worked for and retired from Ameren in Decatur after 20 years of service.  Crystal enjoyed crocheting and time with her loved ones. 

Surviving are her husband, Mac McWilliams of Findlay; son, Michael L. (Cheryl) McWilliams of Vail, AZ; three grandchildren:  Michael S., Keaton and Benjamin all of Vail, AZ; three brothers:  Dennis (Suzanne) Downs of Clifton, Don (Laurie) Downs of Bourbonnais and Dale (Maureen) Downs of Limestone and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, David Downs. 

Visitation will be held from 1:00-5:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 5, 2022, in Lockart-Green Funeral Home in Shelbyville.  Cremation will take place after the visitation.  Lockart-Green Funeral Home in Shelbyville is assisting the family.
