Chad L. Larimore

Chad L. Larimore, 57, of Effingham, IL passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 23, 2023, surrounded by his family, after a courageous battle with cancer. 

Chad was born on November 24, 1965, in Shelbyville, the son of Gary Larimore and Gloria Wines.  He was a 1983 graduate of Beecher City High School and earned two associate degrees, one from Lincoln Trail College in Robinson and the second from Lake Land College in Mattoon.  Chad married Nancy Hilt and from that union they were blessed with three children:  Chloe, Kyle, and Carter.  Chad’s happiest moments were the birth of his three children.  He loved his children immensely and treasured time with them and his extended family.  Chad was a car enthusiast and enjoyed golfing, working on projects in the garage and watching basketball with his sons. 

Chad leaves behind his three children:  Chloe, Kyle and Carter Larimore, all of Effingham; mother, Gloria (Lowell) Wines of Effingham; father, Gary Larimore (Martha) of Altamont; sister, Denise Larimore Toothman of Mt. Zion; half-siblings:  Jeff (Rhonda) Wines and Mike Wines (fiancé Regina); stepsiblings:  Randy (Kim) Ryan and Kelly (Delbert) Backs and his beloved nieces and nephews. 

He was preceded in death by his grandparents:  John and Marie Larimore, John Z. Young and Jean Crabtree, Darold and Mary Goudreau and his stepmother, Evelyn Larimore. 

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 30, 2023, in Lockart-Green Funeral Home in Beecher City with Pastor Lynette Barnett officiating.  Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service.  The burial will take place in Springhill Cemetery in rural Beecher City.  Memorials may be made in Chad’s name to the American Cancer Society.  Lockart-Green Funeral Home in Beecher City is assisting the family.
