Bryan “Beave” E. Reynolds, a beloved son, grandson, brother, nephew, cousin, and friend, passed away peacefully at the age of 38 on Tuesday, June 13, 2023, in Cowden, Illinois. Born on September 24, 1984, in Effingham, Illinois, Bryan was a shining light in the lives of all who knew him.
Bryan's spirited and friendly personality made it easy for him to forge strong connections with those around him. His warm and engaging demeanor was evident from a young age, and he was known for his great sense of humor, which could brighten even the darkest of days. Bryan's love for music was a defining aspect of his life. As a talented musician, he enjoyed playing various instruments and jamming with his friends. The joy he derived from making music was infectious, and his performances were always marked by his undeniable passion for the art.
Surviving are his loving parents, Shelley (Stanley) Ray of Shelbyville and Bryan (Margaret) Reynolds of Tower Hill; grandfather Richard E. Rauch of Herrick; stepsiblings, Angela (DJ) Cox of Lakewood, Jennifer (Mike) Giles of Chatham, Kenneth Harvey of Sheridan and Rachel Hatcher of Shelbyville; uncles, Mark (Kelly) Rauch of Herrick, Mike (Dixie) Rauch of Herrick, Brad Reynolds of Pana, Buzz (Cheryl) Reynolds of Beecher City, and Bruce (Melody) Reynolds of Brownstown and many cousins and close friends.
Bryan was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Shirley Jean Bechtel and Shirley Mae Handy; grandfather Philip "Chick" Reynolds; uncle Steve E. Rauch, and aunt Penny Ruth Milhbachler.
Private family services will be held in Myers Cemetery near Herrick with a celebration of life to be held at a later date. Lockart-Green Funeral Home in Shelbyville is assisting the family.
As we mourn the loss of Bryan, let us also celebrate the life he lived and the countless ways in which he touched the hearts of those around him. May we honor his memory by cherishing the moments we shared and carrying on his legacy of joy and laughter.
