Bonnie L. Coin, 79, of Beecher City, IL, passed away at 10:15 a.m. on Thursday, August 19, 2021, in the Lutheran Care Center in Altamont, with loved ones by her side.
Bonnie was born on March 15, 1942, in Loudon Township, the daughter of Eldo “Bud” and Rosa (Knapp) Doty. Bonnie and John Douglas Coin were united in holy matrimony on April 1, 1961 and were blessed with 57 years of marriage before John’s passing on November 14, 2018. Through the years Bonnie worked for the Beecher City Community Unit School District #20 in the Grade School, Natural Gas Pipeline and retired from CF Industries in Cowden. Bonnie was a devoted wife, a loving and nurturing mother, grandmother and sister. She enjoyed family time, watching sports and her furry companions.
Surviving are her son, Jay D. (Julie) Coin of Beecher City; grandchildren: Jason Coin of Beecher City and Jordyn (Jordan) Tate of Effingham; sister, Lois Drew of Missouri and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Todd Alan and brother, Carl Doty.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 24, 2021 in Lockart-Green Funeral Home in Beecher City with Pastor Sid Hutchison officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will take place in Beecher City Cemetery. Memorials may be made in Bonnie’s name to the Lutheran Care Center in Altamont. Lockart-Green Funeral Home in Beecher City is assisting the family.
