Max Armstrong Obituary

Max D. Armstrong, 79, of Shelbyville, IL passed away on Sunday, April 26, 2020 at his home.

Max was born on March 19, 1941, in Shelby County, the youngest of 15 children, to Robert and Faye (Lewis) Armstrong. Max worked for and retired from P&H Manufacturing in Shelbyville. After retiring, he worked for a short time at GSI in Shelbyville. Max had a love for his family and the outdoors. His favorite activities were fishing and mushroom hunting on Lake Shelbyville and the Kaskaskia River.

He is survived by his daughter, Terri Armstrong; son, Randy Armstrong, both of Shelbyville; one granddaughter; two great-grandsons and four sisters.
Max was preceded in death by his parents, six brothers and four sisters.

In keeping with Max's wishes, private services for immediate family will be held. Lockart-Green Funeral Home in Shelbyville is assisting the family.
