Harvey Junior Heiman, 79, of St. Elmo, IL, passed away on Monday, July 8, 2019 at his home surrounded by his loved ones.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Friday, July 12, 2019 at the Herrick Community Center in Herrick, IL with Brother George Allen officiating. Burial will take place in Myers Cemetery in rural Herrick, IL. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the Herrick Community Center in Herrick, IL. Memorials may be made in Harvey's name to the Chloe West Toy Drive in care of the Herrick or Cowden Community Bank. Lockart-Green Funeral Home in Shelbyville, IL is assisting the family.
Harvey was born July 21, 1939, in Pinckneyville, IL, the son of Harvey H. and Mary Jane (Saddler) Heiman. Harvey and Mary Louise Allen were married in 1957. He then married Carol Alexander on April 1, 2003. Harvey was a supervisor at GSI Grain Systems Incorporated in Assumption, IL. He was a member of the Free Spirit Pentecostal Church in Pana, IL, the Herrick First Responders and the Herrick Fire Department. He enjoyed listening to old country music, singing his church songs and playing his guitar.
Surviving are his wife, Carol of St. Elmo, IL; children: Alan (Marla) Heiman of Cowden, IL, Jeanie (Neal) West of Cowden, IL and Meronda (Robert) Barnes of Beecher City, IL; stepchildren: Kimberly Colwell of Effingham, IL, Lisa (John) Harris of Campbellsville, KY and Robbie (Amber) Hill of Dandridge, TN; siblings: George (Janet) Heiman, Kathy (Alan) Durbin, Donnie (Jeannie) Heiman and Debbie (Alva) Allen all of Herrick, IL and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his parents; daughter, Veronica Beck; granddaughter, Chloe West; grandsons, Alan Boyd Heiman and John Michael Beck; sister, Ivory Jackson and brothers, Blaine Heiman and Ronnie Heiman.
