Crystal Rumsey Obituary

Crystal Jean Rumsey, 60, of Stewardson, IL passed away at 2:44 p.m. on Monday, August 26, 2019 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, IL.

Crystal was born on March 25, 1959, in Effingham, IL, the daughter of Jean Cox and Vernon Elam. She graduated from Oak Grove High School in San Jose, CA in 1978. Crystal and Donald Rumsey Jr. were united in holy matrimony on September 1982 in Virginia City, NV.

Surviving are her husband, Donald Rumsey Jr. of Salem, OR; three sons: Derric Owen Elam of Portland, OR, Dominic Eugene Rumsey of Des Moines, IA and Dean Stewart Rumsey of Stewardson, IL; one grandson, Nathaniel Lee Johnson of North Vernon, IN; two sisters: Cheryl Lynn Hosin and Cynthia Diane Elam, both of Effingham, IL; one brother, Clifford Dale Elam (wife Sheila) of Mesa, AZ and three nephews and three nieces.

Private family services were held. Brummerstedt Funeral Home in Stewardson, IL is assisting the family.
