Cody Stiefel Obituary

Cody Allen Stiefel, 29, of Shelbyville, IL, passed away at 10:20 p.m. on Wednesday, January 8, 2020 as a result of an accident.

Cody was born on January 8, 1991, in Hinsdale, the son of David Stiefel and Lucinda Cason Gronau. He worked at Graphic Packaging International in Shelbyville, but his true passion was construction work. He enjoyed riding motorcycles as well as working on them, video gaming and had an appreciation for all types of music from Bach to Beethoven to the 1960's and 1970's music.

Surviving are his mother, Lucinda Gronau of Cleveland, TN; father and stepmother, Dave (Jody) Stiefel of Shelbyville; brothers: David C. (Lora) Stiefel of Cleveland, TN and Jeffrey Stiefel of Camp Verde, AZ; grandparents: Charles (Norma) Stiefel of Lakewood and Nancy Dunham-Bingle of Warrenville; nephews: Andrew and Gerald; nieces: Danica and Saphira, all of Cleveland, TN and many aunts and uncles.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, L.E. Cason and grandmother, Betty Cason.

A Celebration of Cody's Life will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 12, 2020 at Cornerstone Community Fellowship with Pastor John Curtis officiating. Lockart-Green Funeral Home in Shelbyville is assisting the family.
