Barbara Hilligoss Obituary

Barbara "Bobbie" A. Hilligoss, 63, of Windsor, IL passed away at 5:37 p.m. on Wednesday, November 6, 2019 at the Shelbyville Manor in Shelbyville, IL.

Bobbie was born on November 14, 1955, in Shelbyville, the daughter of James and Monte Marie (Furr) Hart. She and Floyd Hilligoss were united in holy matrimony on July 7, 1977 at Ash Grove Church in Windsor. She loved spoiling her children and grandchildren whether it be cooking meals or helping with the craziness that comes with twin babies. Bobbie was always volunteering, thinking of others, reaching out and checking in on friends even as she, herself became homebound. We will miss her listening ears and loving heart.

Surviving are her husband, Floyd Hilligoss; daughter, Katie (Chris) Harley; son, Tyler Hilligoss; two grandchildren: Georgia and Gibson Harley all of Windsor; brother, Mike Hart of Shelbyville and sister, Marla (Don) Shoaff of Shelbyville.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

In keeping with Bobbie's wishes, private family services will be held at Cochran Grove Cemetery at a later date. Bobbie was a dog lover so in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Bobbie's name to Saving Orphaned Animals-Shelby County, 120 S. Morgan Street, Shelbyville, IL 62565 or Coles County Animal Shelter, 6818 N Co Rd 1120 E, Charleston, IL 61920. Lovins-Lockart Funeral Home in Windsor is assisting the family.

Family and friends are invited to light a candle or share a story in Bobbie's honor at www.lockartgreenfuneralhome.com.
