John Henry White, 68, of Findlay passed away at 7:14 a.m. Wednesday (September 17, 2008) in the Shelby Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday in the Lockart-Green Funeral Home, Findlay with Ron Newman officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday Burial will be in Union Cemetery in Pickaway Township, Shelby County. Memorials may be made to the family.
He was born February 9, 1940 in Holliday the son of Everett and Ivadean Beck White. He married Joyce Elaine Maxwell October 22, 1960 in Decatur.
He was formerly employed by Okaw Crop Care, Largent Implement, Massey Ferguson and Terra Fertilizer. He was Democratic Precinct Committeeman for Pickaway Township. He loved farming, gardening, animals, country music, helping at Hazel Mae’s in Tower Hill, and mostly his wife, children, grandchildren.
Surviving are his wife, Joyce, children, Diane Carroll and Patty Totten (Mike) both of Findlay and Donald White(Trela)of Indianapolis, IN; grandchildren, April Gray (Roger) of Lerna, Carla Mose (Rex) of Mattoon and Joshua Carroll of Findlay, great-grandchildren Sara Decker, Jonathon Sanders, Austin Gray, Erika Doty, Tiana Doty and Devin Mose; six step great-grandchildren; brothers, Wayne Beck (Judy) and Floyd White (Roberta) both of Herrick and Ray White of Cowden; sisters, Betty Lofland of Herrick, Joyce Corley (Jerry) of Tower Hill and Shirley Carmen (Bruce) of Tampa, FL and one grandchild on the way.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, one sister and son-in-law, Mike Carroll.
