Richard (Dickey B.) Tague, 72, of Cowden formerly of Decatur passed away Monday April 27, 2009.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday in the Lockart-Green Funeral Home, Cowden. Visitation will be from noon until service time. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery near Cowden. A memorial fund in his name has been set up at Peoples Trust Bank in Pana, the family asks donations be made in lieu of flowers.
He was born in Oakland, July 8, 1936 the son of Orville M. and Irene K. (Kerans) Tague. He married Cherryll (Sherry) Smith October 6, 1966 in Charleston.
He served in the U.S. Air Force and retired from ABF Trucking, Springfield, July 8, 1996. He was baptized at Union Congregational Church, Mattoon, on March 12, 1950.
He is survived by his wife; 3 sons, Randy (Tammy) Toothman of Charleston, Ron (Tami) Tague of Virginia, MN and Richard (Michelle) Tague of Cowden; 1 sister, Lynne (Duane) Oberg of Cohasset, MN; 7 grandchildren, Richard Denny Tague, Todd Scott Tague, Natalie Nelson, David Christopher Tague-Toothman, Cody Allan Toothman, Jaclyn Marie Tague and Adrian Michael Tague; 7 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers
Dick loved being with his family, he enjoyed horse back riding, his home and retirement, watching TV and his 2 dogs, Coda and Blue. He will be sadly missed by all. |
