Steven A.Strohl, 54 of Springfield, IL, passed away at 1:37 PM Sunday April 18, 2010 in Shelbyville, IL.Steve was born Mar. 24, 1956 in Effingham, IL the son of Paul and Mildred Cohea Strohl.
Steve graduated from Stewardson-Strasburg High School in 1974 where he played on the High School Basketball Team. He then attended Southern Illinois University at Carbondale and was very talented artist.
Steve was a former assistant parts manager at Dust Auto Parts in Effingham.
He was a huge University of Illinois Basketball fan.
Surviving are sisters: Marjorie Rieman and husband Don of Effingham, Nancy Koontz and husband Howard of Mode, IL and Linda Rentfrow and husband Floyd of Ohio; brother Don Strohl and wife Forrest of Buffalo, TX; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers: Paul Strohl Jr.and Gerald Raymond Strohl and sister Bonnie Bushur.
Private family services will be held at a later date.Arrangements are entrusted to Brummerstedt Funeral Home in Stewardson.
