Retabel (Tice) Storm 97 of Shelbyville, IL, passed away at 8:15 PM Sunday Sept. 6, 2009 in her home.
Mrs. Storm was born Feb. 10, 1912 in Rose Twp., Shelby County the daughter of Andrew J. (Jack) and Ione Klauser Tice.
She married Stanley C. Storm June 22, 1932 and he passed away May 14, 1993.
Reta was a member of the First Christian Church of Shelbyville, fifty year member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Roy Vanderpool American Legion Post #81 Auxiliary, and was a Bronze Leader of the Commanders Club of the D.A.V.She was a life member of the Military Officers’ Association of America.
Reta was a former employee of the Arcade Moore Hat Shop in Shelbyville.
Surviving are nine great nieces and nephews; seventeen great great nieces and nephews; and fifteen great great great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Lt. Col. Stanley C. Storm Ret., her parents Jack and Ione Tice, sisters and brothers-in-law Agnes Steidley and husband Arthur and Jeanette Davis and husband Harry Sr.; nephews Harry Davis Jr. and wife Rose and Jack Davis and wife Betty.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday Sept. 10, 2009 in Lockart-Green Funeral Home in Shelbyville.Rev. Kevin Ray will officiate.Visitation will be from 9:00AM until service time on Thursday.Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery, Shelbyville.Memorials can be made to the First Christian Church of Shelbyville or the Shriners Children’s Hospital.On line condolences may be directed to the family at www.lockartgreenfuneralhome.com
