Evelyn M. Stoddard 94 of Shelbyville, IL, formerly of Cowden, IL, passed away Thursday June 25, 2009 in the Shelbyville Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Shelbyville.
Evelyn was born Aug. 19, 1914 at Lakewood, IL the daughter of Lester and Augusta Reiman Nance.
She married Frank Stoddard Nov. 27, 1935 in Ramsey, IL and he passed away July 13, 1964.
She was a member of the First Christian Church of Cowden, IL.She was a homemaker who formerly assisted her husband Frank in the operation of their drug store in Ramsey.
Surviving are her son Jerry Stoddard and wife Joyce of Quincy, IL; grandchildren: Michael Stoddard of Brimfield, IL, Frank Stoddard of Quincy, IL and Cheryl Israel ofSt. Louis, MO; five great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Frank, parents and a sister Leah Yanaway.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 PM Tuesday June 30, 2009 in Lockart-Green Funeral Home in Cowden.Visitation will be from 12:30 PM until time of the service Tuesday at the funeral home.Burial will be in Ramsey Cemetery, Ramsey, IL.On line condolences may be directed to the family at www.lockartgreenfuneralhome.com
