Mary Lea Skundberg 71 of Decatur, IL. passed away at 10:20 AM Tuesday Nov. 10, 2009 in McKinley Court in Decatur, IL
Lea was born Sept. 5, 1938 in Shelbyville the daughter of Wilbur and Hazel Powell Skidmore.
Lea was a 1956 graduate of Shelbyville High School and attended Sparks Business College.She was a realtor and residential property manager.She retired as the manager The Woods Apartments in Decatur.She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi and was a proud breast cancer survivor.
Surviving are children: Susan Clark and husband Chris of Springfield, IL, Erik Skundberg of Taylorville, IL, Adam Skundberg and wife Kim of Mt. Zion, IL; grandchildren: Joshua Skundberg, Camryn Skundberg, Haley Clark and Jenna Clark; sister Ellen Gotto and husband Ralph of Hacienda Heights, CA.
Lea was preceded in death by her parents Wilbur and Hazel, brother Noel Skidmore; sisters: Fern Stocks, Joyce Martz and Joan Hamilton.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday Nov. 13, 2009 in Lockart-Green Funeral Home in Shelbyville. Rev. Lee Lovett will officiate. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 PM Thursday at the funeral home.Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery, Shelbyville.Memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society for Breast Cancer Research.
