Glendora Russell 89 of Shelbyville, IL, passed away at 9:40 PM Thursday Dec. 24, 2009 in Shelby Memorial Hospital in Shelbyville.
Glendora was born Jan. 19, 1920 in Shelbyville, IL the daughter of Harry and Eva Hinton Riley.
She married Charles Russell Jan. 19 1941 in St. Charles, MO and he passed away Aug. 17, 2001
Glendora was a homemaker for her family and a beautician who operated her own beauty shop in Shelbyville for many years and later worked in other area shops.
Surviving are her three sons: Harry Russell and wife Peggy, Mark Russell and wife Sally and Chris Russell and wife Janet all of Shelbyville; grandchildren: Kyle Russell of Denver, CO, Blair Russell of Holly Springs, NC, Lea Koehler and husband Kris of Shelbyville, Evan Russell and wife Rebecca of Shelbyville, Michael Russell of Shelbyville and Nathan Russell of Shelbyville; step-grandchildren: Jordan and Christian; sisters Jean Largent of Decatur, IL and June Schmahl of Moweaqua, IL.
She was preceded in death by her husband Charles, a son in infancy and brothers: Ray Riley, Dale Riley and Earl Riley.
A private graveside service will be held at 10:30 PM Wednesday Dec. 30, 2009 in Glenwood Cemetery.Friends may call from 10:00 AM Wednesday until the time of the service at Lockart-Green Funeral Home in Shelbyville.Memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society or to Shelby Memorial Hospital in Shelbyville.On line condolences may be directed to the family at www.lockartgreenfuneralhome.com
