Roy H. Robson 87 of Shumway, IL, passed away at 5:10 AM Saturday Sept. 6, 2008 in Effingham Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Effingham.
Mr. Robson was born Dec. 21, 1920 at Shumway, IL the son of George and Ruth Hayward Robson.
He was a graduate of Stewardson High School and a life long grain and livestock farmer. Roy was a member of the Methodist Church of Shumway and the Effingham County Farm Bureau.He was a member of the Liberty Township Board of Directors.He served in the United States Navy during WWII.
Surviving is a sister RomaMay Jackson of Shumway, IL.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Mary Orpha Robson and a brother-in-law Don Jackson.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 PM Tuesday Sept. 9, 2008 in Brummerstedt Funeral Home in Stewardson.Rev. Paul Bower will officiate.Visitation will be one hour before the service on Tuesday at the funeral home.Burial will be in Hubbartt Cemetery, near Beecher City.Memorials scan be made to the Donor’s Choice.
