Donald Eugene Reynolds, 77, of Shelbyville passed away at 1:57 p.m. (Sunday April 18, 2010) at Shelby Memorial Hospital in Shelbyville.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday in the Lockart-Green Funeral Home, Shelbyville with Pastor Wayne Polk officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until service time. Burial will be in the Glenwood Cemetery, Shelbyville. Memorials may be made to the Second Street Church of Christ.
He was born June 20, 1932 in Sullivan the son of Luther Collins and Elsie Bernice (Malone) Reynolds. He married Ora Frances Jarnagin January 11, 1952 in Sullivan.
Don was a member of the Church of Christ and served as song leader for several years. He was a former member of the Shelbyville Lions Club. He was a meat cutter at Gaddis Grocery and at several other stores in Shelbyville, Windsor and Mattoon. He retired from International Paper.
Surviving are his wife, Frances; daughter, Kathy May Minser (Craig) of Springfield; sons, Donald Jesse (Butch) Reynolds,Gregory Lee Reynolds (Rosanne), and John Mitchel (Mitch) Reynolds all of Shelbyville; grandchildren, Adrienne Rae Minser and Zachary Wade Minser both of Springfield, Daniel Allen Reynolds (Ossie) and Marissa Nicole Sims (Tyler) both of Pana; great-grandchildren, Quentin and Kaylee Hampton of Springfield and Mia Reynolds of Pana; step-grandchildren, Matthew Helton of San Diego, CA and Aimee Helton (fiancée, Jacob Christner) of Shelbyville.; brothers, Carroll Reynolds (Charlotte) of Elkhart, IN and Melvin Reynolds (Zelma) of Allenville; sister, Maxine Henwood (Donnie) of Kingman, AZ.
He was preceded in death by his parents and grandson, Andrew Craig Minser.
