Joseph F. Nigro 68 of Findlay, IL, passed away at 4:29 PM Tuesday Nov. 4, 2008 at Shelby Memorial Hospital in Shelbyville.
Mr. Nigro was born Mar. 23, 1940 in Blue Island, IL the son of Vic and Estelle Lewandowski Nigro.
He married Georgia Sundberg in Homewood, IL in 1961 and she passed away in 2006.
Joseph was a machinist at Gary Steel in Alsip, IL for 22 years.
He loved to camp, fish, pitch horseshoes, but most of all loved being with his family.
Surviving are sons Nicholas (Nic) Nigro and wife Cynthia of Findlay, IL and Ted Nigro and wife Jeanette of Joliet, IL; grandchildren: Adam Nigro, Brandon Nigro, Nicole Nigro, Gavin Nigro and Brooklyn Nigro; one great grandson Crew Nigro; sister Mary Nigro of South Carolina; brothers: Richard Nigro of Paducah, KY, Fred Nigro of Sebring, FL and Pete Nigro of Findlay, IL.
He was preceded in death by a son Stevie, parents, and brothers: Vic Nigro, Bobby Nigro, David Nigro and sister Phyllis Nigro.
Funeral services will be held at a later date.Arrangements are by Lockart-Green Funeral Home in Shelbyville.
