Ralph Neill 98 of Windsor, IL, passed away at 11:55 AM Friday July 31, 2009 in the Shelbyville Manor in Shelbyville.
Mr. Neill was born June 6, 1911 in Windsor, Twp., Shelby Co the son of James Oscar and Margaret Katherine Schuck Neill.
Mr. Neill was member of the Masonic Lodge of Windsor and the United Methodist Church of Windsor.He graduated from Windsor High School in 1928.He was employed at Caterpillar Tractors Co. in Peoria, IL from 1929 until 1941.He returned to the Windsor area and began farming in 1941, and continued farming until 1971.He served on the Board of Directors of Westervelt Mutual Insurance Co in Westervelt, IL for many years and also formerly served as Shelby County Assessor.
Surviving are several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother James Elbert (Mike), sisters: Edna Jane, Rovena Ruth and Naleta Joyce.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday August 4, 2009 in Lovins –Lockart Funeral Home in Windsor.Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until time of the service on Tuesday. Masonic rites will be held at 10:45 AMTuesday. Burial will be in Windsor Cemetery. Memorials: Donors Choice.
