Lola Jean Minter, 64, of Assumption passed away at 12:30 p.m. Monday (October 27, 2008) at her home.
Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday in the Lockart-Green Funeral Home, Shelbyville. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
She was born April 22, 1944 in Lincoln, the daughter of Minor and Bessie Summers Parks. She married Larry Minter November 6, 1999 in Shelbyville.
She was employed at Imperial Bondware for several years and was a member of the Eagles Club in Shelbyville.
Surviving are her husband, Larry, son, Tim Murphy of Flora; daughter, Tina Bly of Herrick; step-daughters, Erica Brittian, Rebecca Barnes and Jill Holman all of Gladstone, MO; brothers, Bill Parks and Sonny Parks both of Shelbyville; sisters, Betty Wilson of Texas and Edna Downs of Shelbyville; 7 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; 3 step-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Daniel Parks and Theodore Summers and infant sister, Mary Anna
