Helen Marie Manship, 73, of Windsor passed away at 11:00 a.m. Friday (November 6, 2009) at the Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Care, Coles, Co.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Wednesday in the Lovins-Lockart Funeral Home, Windsor with Rev. Jim Dona officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m until service time. Burial will be in the Stewardson Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Ash Grove Christian Church.
She was born October 2, 1936 in Fancher, the daughter of Claude Oliver and LaVonne Polly Ruff. She married James William Manship, Sr., September 25, 1958 in Tuscola and he preceded her in death January 22, 1998.
She was a member of the Ash Grove Christian Church and the American Legion Auxiliary, Shelbyville.
Surviving are her in children, Sherry Hapner (Marvin) of Mode, Karen Katz of Mattoon, Bill Manship (Gloria) of Shelbyville, Penny Hurst (Evan) of Jasper, IN and James Ray (Jay) Manship (Vicki) of Mt. Zion; son-in-law, Jim Graven of Shelbyville; brothers, Lloyd Ruff and Danny Ruff both of Mode, and Elmer Ruff of Shelbyville; sisters Claudette Morrison of Mode, Daisy Tolen of Stewardson, Mary Connor and Ruth Shewmake both of Neoga and Donna Switzer of Tucson, AZ; 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, sister, Ann Mahnke and daughter, Judy Graven.
