Jeanette Ann Mahnke, 66, of Cowden died at 2:02 p.m. Sunday (August 17, 2008) in St. Johns Hospital, Springfield.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday in the Lockart-Green Funeral Home, Shelbyville with Rev. Barry Long officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday. Burial will be in the Stewardson Cemetery. Donations may be made to the family.
She was born May 3, 1942 in Shelby County the daughter of Claude and LaVonne Polly Ruff.
She was a member of the Effingham Moose Lodge.
Surviving are children, Bradley Mahnke (Emma) of Mode, Albert Mahnke Jr.(Carrie) of Stewardson, Dean Mahnke (Ella) of Mode and Vickie Mahnke (special friend Paul Stevens) of Cowden; brothers, Danny Ruff (Cherri) and Lloyd Ruff both of Mode and Elmer Ruff of Shelbyville.; sisters, Helen Manship of Windsor, Claudette Morrison of Mode, Ruth Shewmake and Mary Connor both of Neoga, Daisy Tolen of Stewardson and Donna Switzer of Tucson, AZ; 22 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
