Philip C. Lund, 69, of Shelbyville passed away at 10:28 p.m. Thursday (September 10, 2009) at his residence.
Private memorial services for family and friends will be held at a 6:00 p.m. Thursday (September 17, 2009) at the Sit and Sip in Shelbyville. Arrangements are by Lockart-Green Funeral Home, Shelbyville.
He was born May 13, 1940 in Chicago the son of Elof and Eva Gawakowski Lund. He married Karen Ann Krause November 7, 1964 in Chicago.
He served in the U S Marines during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and Ansar Shrine Club of Shelbyville, and lifetime member of the American Legion and VFW. He was a union electrician and member of the IBEW Local Union 134. He loved fishing, animals, family and his dogs, especially his Australian Shepard, Patti B.
Surviving are his wife, Karen, sister, Margaret Lund of LaGrange, niece Brianne and nephew, Eric.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, John.
