Gerald Hartman, 77, of Shelbyville passed away at 8:42 p.m. Sunday (February 5, 2012) at his residence.
There will be no services. Arrangements are by Lockart-Green Funeral Home, Shelbyville.
He was born January 27, 1935 in Flowerfield Township, MI the son of Harley and Doris (Blood) Hartman. He married Edith Hammond February 7, 1989.
He was retired from International Paper in Shelbyville. He served in the US Army and was a member of the Moose Lodge, Eagles, VFW and American Legion.
Surviving are his wife, Edith, sons, Duaine Brown and Doyle Brown both of Shelbyville; daughters, Joanie, Dora and Dena; grandchildren, Willow and Kagome Brown and several other grandchildren; sister, Ann Dietrech of Michigan.
He was preceded in death by his parents, step-mother Caroline, son, Keith, brothers, Clayton, Gene and Donald and sisters, Donna, Helen and Sandra.
