Inez Gass 89 of Windsor, IL, passed away at 5:15 AM Sunday Nov. 22, 2009 in the Odd Fellow- Rebekah Home in Mattoon.
Inez was born; Sept. 4, 1920 in Moultrie County, IL the daughter of John Palmer and Elsie Purkiser Edwards.
She married Don Gass on April 6, 1940 in Cahokia, MO and he passed away on June 14, 1990
She was a homemaker, who with her husband Don, raised five sons who survive.They are Jerome Gass of Windsor, Steve Gass of Greencastle, IN, David Gass and wife Pat of Moberly, MO, Bruce Gass and wife Sue of Arthur, IL and Sam Gass of Windsor; four grandchildren; one great grandchild and several nieces, nephews and cousins.She was preceded in death by her husband, two grandchildren, her parents John and Elsie, sister Florence “Eve” Wiley and brother Floyd Edwards.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Friday Nov. 27, 2009 in Lovins-Lockart Funeral Home in Windsor.Visitation will be from 10:00 AM Friday until the time of the service at the funeral home.Interment of the cremains will be at a later date in Waggoner Cemetery at Gays, IL.Memorials can be made to the Windsor Ambulance Service.On line condolences may be directed the family at www.lockartgreenfuneralhome.com
