Betty L. Garner 70 of Beecher City, IL, formerly of Chicago, IL, went to be with the Lord at 11:00 PM Sunday Nov. 15, 2009 in St. Johns Hospital in Springfield, IL.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday Nov. 22, 2009 in Lockart-Green Funeral Home in Shelbyville.Visitation will be from 12:00 noon until time of the service on Sunday.Memorials can be made to the Donor’s Choice.On line condolences may be directed to the family at www.lockartgreenfuneralhome.com
Betty was born Nov. 24, 1938 in Fairmont, W. VA the daughter of Theodore R. and Ruth Woods Robinson.
She married Jim Garner Sept. 3, 1955 in Corinth, MS and he preceded her in death Oct. 29, 1993.
Betty was a bookkeeper and retired from Eco-Lab in Chicago.She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.She is loved very much by all who knew her and she will be missed by those whose lives she touched.
Surviving are sons Michael Garner of Plant City, FL and Ricky Garner of Beecher City, IL; daughter Tamera Loy and husband Roger of Effingham; mother Ruth Robinson of Beecher City; brother Jack Robinson and wife Letha Robinson of Beecher City; sister Linda Burress and husband Nolie of Martin, TN; grandchildren: Cody, Kala, Haley, Colton and Angela; great grandchildren: Lily, Peyton, Skylar, and Breene; many nieces and nephews and special friend Rodney Askins.
She was preceded in death by her husband Jim, father Theodore and brother George.
