B. Darrell Gallup 64, of Beecher City, IL, passed away at 12:47 AM July 22, 2009 in St. Anthony Memorial Hospital in Effingham, IL.
Darrell was born Oct. 15, 1944 in Effingham, IL the son of Buell and Zola Watson Gallup.
He married Martha Petra on Nov. 16, 1970 in Witt, IL.
Darrell was formerly employed by Fedders Corporation in Effingham for many years.
He was a member of the Church of Christ of Beecher City, and the Ostomy Support Group at St. Anthony Memorial Hospital in Effingham. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed the company of many good friends.Darrell never ever met a stranger.
Surviving are his wife Martha; son Norman Gallup and wife Melissa of Ste. Genevieve, MO; daughter Carol Hufford of Beecher City; mother Zola Dial of Beecher City; grandchildren: Zachary Hufford, Nathaniel Hufford, Sasha Gallup and Garret Gallup.
Darrell was preceded in death by his father Buell Gallup, brother Theodore Gallup and grandson Nathan.
A graveside service will be held at 10:30 AM Saturday July 25, 2009 in Beecher City Cemetery.Rev.
