Judy E. Coleman 63 of Findlay, IL went to be with her Lord at 5:26 PM Wednesday July 2, 2008 in Decatur Memorial Hospital in Decatur with her husband, her boys and her sister at her bedside.

Judy was born Jan. 26, 1945 in Danville, IL the daughter of Leo and Alice Eads Vail.

She married Lewis K. Coleman Mar. 29, 1964 in Findlay, IL.

Judy was a member of the Junior Women’s Club of Findlay, the First Christian Church of Findlay where she was a member of the Willing Workers.

She was a legal secretary with Baker Law Office in Shelbyville for over 40 years starting with John J. Baker Sr. and then John J. Baker Jr. until her retirement in May of 2007.

Formerly, she worked in the Circuit Clerk’s Office of Shelby County for the then clerk Ralph Ulmer.

For many years she was the Secretary of the 4-H Auction at the Shelby County 4-H Fair.She loved country music, NASCAR and traveling, especially to ocean beaches where she could walk and listen to the waves.

Above all else, her life revolved around her husband, children and grandchildren.Her greatest joy was having all of her grandchildren at her side in church.

Surviving are her husband Lewis; sons: Todd Coleman and wife Carla of Assumption, Troy Coleman and wife Jennifer of Shelbyville and Tracy Coleman of Findlay; grandchildren: Katelyn, Jeffery, Taylor, Tanner, Camden, James, Paige and Regan; brothers and sisters: Mary Culver and husband Bob of White Hall, OH, Larry Soat and wife Bunny of Bradford, MA, Tom Vail and wife Dorita of Pima AZ, Virginia Goodwin and husband Dallas of Riley, IN, Butch Vail and special friend, Linda of Shelbyville, Jayne Lee and husband Wayne of Casey, IL, Ted Vail and wifeCarrie of Ramsey, IL, Merlin Vail of Oconee, IL, Sue Magnus of Findlay, IL, Joyce Galla and husband Chuck of Decatur, IL; many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Sunday July 6, 2008 in the First Christian Church of Findlay.Rev. Richard Hargrave and Nathan Jesse will officiate.Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 PM Saturday in the Church.Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery, Shelbyville.Memorials can be made to the First Christian Church of Findlay.Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Lockart-Green Funeral Home in Findlay.
