Elwin Rue (Buzz) Buzzard, 78, of Shelbyville passed away at 8:15 a.m. Tuesday (June 3, 2008) in the Shelbyville Manor.
Buzz was born July 25, 1929 in St. Louis, MO the son of Cecil Rue and Dorothy Wallace Buzzard.
Buzz was a construction laborer and was a member of the Shelbyville Local Labor Union.He served in the United States Army Military Police during the Korean War.He was a member of the Roy Vanderpool American Legion Post #81 of Shelbyville.
Buzz and Emma Sutton were married Jan. 14, 2005 and were life partners for over thirty years.He enjoyed time spent with his family and friends at his farm.
Surviving are his wife Emma; children: Paula Brown and husband Greg of Shelbyville, Terry Oldham and wife Angie of Shelbyville, Brian Sutton and fiancé Sandy Hossler of Shelbyville and J. D. Hudson and friend Dawn Cox of Shelbyville, Tina Wade and husband Allen of Shelbyville, Kay Carl and husband Tom of Augusta, GA and Ruthie Jones and husband Dwayne of Shelbyville, IL; fifteen grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; brothers Orville Buzzard and wife Joy of Shelbyville, IL and John Buzzard and wife Sharon of Creal Springs, IL.
He was preceded in death by his parents and infant sister Norma Jean.
Private funeral arrangements and care are entrusted to Lockart-Green Funeral Home in Shelbyville.
