Florence I. Beck, 76, of Beecher City passed away at 10:08 p.m. Saturday (December 19, 2009) in St. Johns Hospital, Springfield.
Eastern Star services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday with funeral services immediately following at the Lockart-Green Funeral Home, Beecher City. Pastor Wayne Absher will officiate. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until service time. Burial will be in Lorton Cemetery near Cowden. Memorials may be made to the Lorton Cemetery.
She was born August 17, 1933 in Fayette County, the daughter of Oscar “Buck” and Sylvia (Lorton) Wade. She married Carl Dean Beck, May 27, 1950 in Effingham.
She was a member of the First Church of God, Effingham, 50 year member and past Worthy Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star, Shelbyville #69 and loved to quilt.
Surviving are sons, Mike Beck and wife, Pam, Pat Beck and wife, Barb and Mark Beck; grandchildren, Tami Hutchison, Patrick Beck, Matthew Beck, Andrea Rexroad, Brianna Beck and Ashley Renfro; great-grandchildren, Cayden Beck, Averi Beck, Olivia Rexroad and Ashlin Beck; two sisters and two brothers.
She was preceded in death by here parents, five sisters and one brother.
