Susan Bauer
Susan Ann Bauer, age 60, of Windsor passed away at 1: 06 p.m. on March 27, 2008 at St. John’s Hospital, Springfield.
A funeral service for Mrs. Bauer will be held at 10:30 a.m. at Lovins-Lockart Funeral Home in Windsor on Monday, March 31, 2008 with the Rev. Richard Eident and Pastor Michael Mohr officiating.Visitation will be 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm Sunday at Lovins-Lockart Funeral Home, Windsor.Burial will be at Windsor Cemetery.
Mrs. Bauer was born November 3, 1947 in Mattoon, a daughter of William R. and Martha L. Kuhn Briscoe.She married Dwaine Bauer on November 8, 1970 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Mattoon and he preceded her in death March 24, 2005.
Her survivors include her mother, Martha Briscoe Clotfelter of Windsor; a sister, Dorothy Romberg and husband Allan of Lincoln, IL; niece Nancy Mueller and husband Steve of Elk Grove Village, IL; and great nieces Erin and Keri of Elk Grove Village, IL.
She was preceded in death by her husband Dwaine, and her father, William R. Briscoe.
Following graduation from Mattoon High School, Susan worked as a dental assistant for Dr. Glenn. Mrs. Bauer and her husband Dwaine operated a successful auctioneer business for many years.Susan and her husband Dwaine loved and enjoyed raising cattle, especially Texas Longhorns.
Mrs. Bauer was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Strasburg, Illinois.
