Treva Coffman Obituary

Treva Mae Coffman, a cherished member of the Beecher City community and a beacon of kindness to all who knew her, passed away peacefully on April 12, 2024, at the age of 69.  Born on October 28, 1954, in Effingham, to the late Edward and Esther (Heads) Burris.

Treva was a proud homemaker, dedicating her life to creating a warm and loving environment for her family which included her two sons, James (Lisa) Coffman and Waynne Coffman, both of Missouri; her grandchildren, Carl and Michelle Coffman; her brother, Thomas Sloan of Beecher City, and her special friends Christina (David) Herboth of Teutopolis, Jared Tarrant of Effingham, Ralph Tarrant of Effingham, and Sheila Randall of Beecher City.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Paul Sloan, and her special friend Floyd Tarrant.

Treva was a testament to the strength and heart of the local community. Her dedication to her faith was evident through her long-standing membership with the Beecher City Evangel United Methodist Church. Her commitment to her church family was as steadfast as her commitment to her own, and her presence will be deeply missed within the congregation.  Treva's interests were a reflection of her love for life and connection with those around her. She found joy in attending church services, meticulously caring for her home, and seeking treasures at rummage sales. Her beloved four-legged friends always brought a smile to her face, and nothing compared to the precious moments spent with her family and friends.
