Thelma J. Freemon

Thelma J. Freemon, 96, of Windsor, IL passed away on Sunday, July 22, 2018 at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center in Mattoon, IL with loved ones by her side.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, July 27, 2018 at Lovins-Lockart Funeral Home in Windsor with Reverend Richard Eident officiating. Burial will take place in Windsor Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at Lovins-Lockart Funeral Home. Memorials may be made St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Thelma was born December 1, 1921, in Allenville, IL, the daughter of John and Laura (Williamson) King. She married Ralph Freemon on September 23, 1939 in Lovington, IN and he preceded her in death on December 6, 2008. Thelma worked as a hostess at Lithia Springs Campground for many years. She was a member of the Windsor Christian Church. She enjoyed crafts, crocheting, camping and keeping in touch with her loved ones using modern technology through texting and Facebook.

She is survived by daughters: Darlene (Rick) Pearcy of Joelton, TN, Connie Fry of Frederick and Sandra Miller of Shelbyville; seven grandchildren: Michael Miller, Jeffrey Miller, Jennifer Miller-Jones, Dan Fry, Cheri Fry, Derek Pearcy and Angela Pearcy; ten great-grandchildren and sister, Mildred French, who is celebrating 100 years, lives in Mattoon.

Preceding her in death are her parents, John and Laura; husband, Ralph; son, Duane; sisters, Veta Butler and Edith Stewart and brothers, John King and Ralph King.
