Paulette Garmon

Paulette Garmon, 55, of Cowden passed away Monday, June 5, 2017 at her home. Born on December 19, 1961 in Shelbyville she was the daughter of Terry and Betty (Markle) McElroy. She married Jim Garmon. Surviving are three daughters Crystal Ward of Herrick, Charlette Burns of St. Elmo, Jennifer Reichart of Shelbyville; three sons Scott McElroy of Effingham, Jeff McElroy of Effingham, Lance Macklin of Shelbyville; two step-sons Matt Garmon and Eric Garmon both of Shelbyville; 12 grandchildren Sabrina Donaldson, Felicia Owens, Christian Ward, Darian McElroy, Larson Burns, Ethan McElroy, Jacob McElroy, Hailey McElroy, Tyler Macklin, Conner Macklin, Arianna Macklin, and Malena Macklin; Two sisters Carol Hicks of Cowden, Donna Bone of Effingham, one brother Terry McElroy of Beecher City. Preceding her in death were her parents, one brother David McElroy. Visitation will be Saturday, June 10, 2017 from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Lockart-Green Funeral Home in Cowden. Graveside service will be at 11:00 at the Mound Cemetery in Cowden. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to the funeral home to assist the family with funeral expenses.
