Mac Stuart Sexson, 91, of Windsor, IL passed away at 7:37 p.m. on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at the Shelbyville Manor in Shelbyville, IL.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 16, 2018 at the Lovins-Lockart Funeral Home in Windsor with Reverend Richard Eident officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be take place at Ash Grove Cemetery with military rites by the Garrett-Baldridge Post #725 of Windsor. Memorials may be may to the Windsor Christian Church or the Garrett-Baldridge Post #725 of Windsor.
Mac was born May 23, 1927, in Windsor, the son of Harry and Marie (Price) Sexson. He married Phyllis Peek on October 13, 1946 in Shelbyville and she preceded him in death on October 11, 2012. Mac served in the United State Navy from 1945-1946 and was stationed in Guam as a Sea-Bee. After the service he returned to Windsor and worked at Gerald Olson's Station be for retiring from Neal Cooper Grain Company after 32 years. Mac was a lifetime member of the George A. Sentel Lodge #764 of Sullivan, Garrett-Baldridge Post #725 of Windsor, Windsor Christian Church where he was an elder and a 50-year member. Mac's greatest love was his family raising Angus cattle, taking his grandchildren to cattle shows and attending all his grandchildren's activities and sporting events.
Surviving are two daughters: Donna Sudelle (Albert) Shafer of Windsor and Sharla (Danny) Hooten of Gays; grandchildren: Lori Bennett (fiancé Jay Potter) of Windsor, Andy Hooten (fiancé Nicole Nolte) of Lerna and Marc (Tara) Hooten of Gays; great grandchildren: Autumn and Beau Bennett, Mackenzee, Hattie and Hagen Hooten; sister, Joan (John) Guyot of Arcola; sister-in-law, Edith Maxwell of Windsor and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were his parents and wife Phyllis.
