Lois Maxine Kuhl

Lois M. Kuhl, 89, of Mattoon, formerly of Windsor, IL passed away on Sunday, August 12, 2018 at Mattoon Healthcare Center surrounded by her loving family.

Lois was born on July 3, 1929, in rural Bourbon Township in Douglas County, to the late James F. and Gladys Applegate.

Lois is survived by children: Carla Pedigo (Luke) of Benton, Terry (Kristy) of Windsor and Denny (Adrienne) of Cairo, Egypt; seven grandchildren: Greg and Whitney Kuhl, Randy, Heath and Jonathan Pedigo, Emily DeJesus and Heidi Brown and six great-grandchildren.

Lois was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Kuhl; daughter, Marsha Brown: sons: Randy and Tom Kuhl; brothers: Jim, Wayne and Nelson Applegate.

Lois was a devoted mother, homemaker and well known babysitter in her Windsor home. She enjoyed seeing these children grow up and have children of their own, babysitting for many of them, as well. Lois sacrificed much for her children's well being and to further their education. She enjoyed a simple, ordinary life but her family was always first in her heart.
