Norma Jean Evans, 75, of Beecher City passed away at 5:58 a.m. Thursday (November 11, 2010) at St. John’s Hospital, Springfield.
Private family services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday in the Lockart-Green Funeral Home, Cowden with Pastor Roger Long officiating. Burial will be in the Mound Cemetery, Cowden. Memorials may be made to the donor’s choice.
She was born March 6, 1935 in Peoria the daughter of Floyd and Vivian (Roff) Nelson. She married David Evans April 14, 1956 in Shelbyville.
Surviving are her husband, David; daughters, Marla Helmuth and Laura Evans both of Beecher City; sons, David Carroll Evans and Keith Allen Evans both of Altamont; brother, Charles Nelson of Shelbyville; sister, Betty Adams of Corsicana, TX; 7 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, son, Brian and sisters, Joan and Mary Lou. |
